AI Automation Agency

Should you do both?

This week I was slapped over the head with strong signals to pivot our content marketing company, into an ai automation agency.

Pros and cons to every choice, but there’s a really strong pull for me to just go all in on it.

Let’s lay out some of the pros.

I can document the entire thing here on creator court and build in public, something I have not done well since leaving the classroom. I think this would be dope as hell to look back on, regardless of the success of the agency.

I got a productized service biz off the ground last year with zero strategy, zero knowledge and dove headfirst into the unknown, and I fuckin loved it.

I am enamored with ai, but more importantly, I know how valuable it is to just work with business owners and helping them strategize and solve problems by implementing and iterating. Designing systems to help them make money, feels like a great fit.

My business partner builds these workflows for a living. Lives inside of databases and is much more familiar with the pain points of some of these boring businesses. My role would be more in marketing, sales, and content.

it would allow me to build out more systems for ourselves and get me hours out of our already busy days.

We want to shoot real estate photos and videos, but logistically this type of business makes WAY more sense for the lifestyle we are looking to build.

Downsides, I can only think of a couple.

The first being cold outreach. I’ve never done it, so I don’t actually think I’ll be good at it, but I’m not afraid of it.

Landing on the right niche. Niche makes so much more sense with this type of video than it does as a videographer, so just need to find one that I am interested in and learn the ins and outs of the business so I can help.

Pulling away from creator court and making videos about making videos.

i gotta be honest, i love making videos but that niche is weird and always awkward for me, idk haha.

Building out an ai automation agency would give me endless content ideas to document and create at a higher level than what some others are doing. I have some fresh perspective and unique ideas how to make better videos than what exists. It allows me to teach again, which I have 10+ years experience in. It also aligns well with starting and growing a community where I coach, consult, run cohorts, teach and help others do what I learn about 1-2 steps ahead of where they’re at.

This ended up being longer than I thought I would, but there is some fresh perspective and insight into where my brain was at all week with hearing and seeing a few people talk about this very trend.

is this just a trend?? Will the staying power be there? Is it too saturated? Am I good enough? Can I find a niche? Can I retire my wife with this? Can I do this full time?

What do you guys think? As always, I really appreciate your time and your support here early on. I feel like I’m slowly starting to figure out this content business game.
